Lameness

Lameness - Most horse lameness starts at the hoof, and moves up to affect their ankle, tendons, knee etc. Lameness is especially prevalent in race horses, because they run at top speed for a mile or more during the races, and more while training. Some lameness can be prevented using flexible shoes, like the NanoFlex flexible shoe, because it allows for a more even weight distribution along the bottom of the hoof.
